New Releases and New Projects

April 22nd, 2010

The Crooked Path: Selected Transcripts has been out for a little while now, and I am pleased to announce that a bevy of projects that have seen some delays are finally coming to fruition.

First, my personal project, A Grimoire for Modern Cunningfolk, is finally on the verge of release in both the standard version and the Special Edition. The latter is a hardcover, contains extra material on crafting with body fluids, and has a DVD with demonstrations by yours truly of many of the practical techniques found in the book. It is limited to 100 signed and numbered copies, available only directly from Pendraig Publishing. The standard softcover version wil lbe available everywhere, and should be on Amazon by around May 15. I will be signing copies of the standard edition at May Magick in Southern California on May 1st.

Next, the long-awaited 4-DVD set Introduction to Faery Seership, with Orion Foxwood, is finally on sale, and covers a complete weekend workshop with the talented seer and conjurer. I recently received an email from someone who received their pre-ordered copy, and they said it was like having a personal workshop with Orion. The DVD Orion on the Goddess – an interview with Orion Foxwood by Katie Olivares – is also available.

We recently released Michael Berman’s All God’s Creatures: Stories Old and New, which is the first of three books we wil be publishing by this accomplished storyteller and shaman.

Last but not least, we have a couple of fantasy novels thast will be joining the already released Arcana, by Scott Stenwick. One is The Tale of Tyrfing by Sokarjo Stormwillow, and the other is volume one of the Glastonbury Chronicles. A gripping tale about sacred kings and love that spans the ages, Uneasy Lies the Head by S.P. Hendrick has been described by Mark Ryan (”Transformers”, “Robin of Sherwood”, “King Arthur”) as “History, mystery, steam, steel and blood – this one really does have it all!” S. P. Hendrick will also be signing copies of this book at May Magick on May 1st.

So there you have it. Now I get to work on my next book, Visceral Magick – I did a workshop on that at this year’s PantheaCon, which I’m repeating for May Magick – and an incredible project that recently came to us… Christine Jones’ book Sybil Leek: Out of the Shadows. Due out this summer, this is the story of Christine’s years spent with Sybil (she was Sybil’s last student and initiate, and her nurse during her final months), accompanied by Sybil’s herblore, spellcrafting, archangel magic and witchery.

General Update

March 20th, 2010

Life has been a little busy, and this blog/podcast thing has suffered. But here are some updates.

The Introduction to Faery Seership DVD set, starring Orion Foxwood, is now ready, and pre-ordered sets will be mailed out as soon as Orion has given his blessing to the finished product.

The Grimoire for Modern Cunning Folk unfortunately got stuck behind the delays with the DVDs, so it hasn’t come out yet. But we are putting the finishing touches to it, and the special edition (with extra material and a DVD of practical demonstrations) will be sent out to those who ordered a copy by the end of this month, if not earlier.

My new book on Visceral Magick also got held up, but the workshop at PantheaCon was a great success. I will get the book out as soon as I can after the Grimoiore is in the mail. I will also be doing the Visceral Magick workshop at May Magick, as well as selling – and signing – books.

All God’s Creatures, by renowned storyteller Michael Berman, is at the printers, and is the first book designed by our new professional layout artist. It looks really good.

We are pleased to announce that we will be publishing a rare and precious book, Sybil Leek: Out of the Shadows, written by Christine Jones, Sybil’s last initiate and her nurse during the final months of her life. It tells the story of these two fascinating women – warts and all – and includes valuable material on Sybil’s system of archangel magic, spell work and herb lore, as well as never before seen photos of Sybil with the peopleshe associated with.

Another book to look out for around Beltaine is Uneasy Lies the Head, by S. P. Hendrick. The first volume of the Glastonbury Chronicles, this is a wonderful story set around the British Royal family and the Sacred King cycle.

Last but not least, I intend to pick up the podcast again in the very near future, so watch out for another thrilling installment of the Crooked Path.
