Balzador was once a mighty Demon, but after opposing his master Coronzon he found himself exiled on Earth inhabiting a human body. Only one way remains for him to return home - binding together the world’s magick and joining in a war against the Archons, sworn enemies of the Demons, that would upset the cosmic balance of power. Standing in his way is the Guild, a magical order founded during the European Renaissance that holds the secrets of practical magick he desperately needs to complete his task.
After a terrible magical accident the Guild is divided and distracted. Guild initiate Michael Niemand and A∴A∴ initiate Samantha Davis must unite the members of their respective magical orders against Balzador’s machinations if any of them hope to survive. Complicating their task further, the government magick office has taken an interest in the Demon and the Guild and seeks to use both for its own purposes. As Balzador’s plans unfold, the two magicians struggle to stop the binding spell and
find a way to destroy the immortal Demon. But will their efforts prove too late?
Dubhghall is a mighty warrior, trained by Scathach herself. What is more, he has been made immortal by the Morrigan, who has taught him to feast on the blood of his enemies. And because he is the grandson of Lugh, no fire nor light can harm him.

For more than a thousand moons, many of the land’s races have existed together, sharing some form of peace. Dwarves mined the snowy mountains, barbarians hunted the icy north, gnomes hid secrets in their massive tree-homes, the tribes of Mazi wandered the world in search of truths and mysteries, and humans pursued whatever greed moved their hearts. Kings dined in majestic halls; peasants tilled the earth; scholars lost their souls to dusty tomes and legendary artifacts.
But one such of these ancient artifacts has been uncovered, and threatens to destroy the delicate balance of life in Piyr. Guarded by soulless undead in the lair of a malicious dragon, a dwarven-forged sword of woe lies, waiting for the cursed son of a murdered human king. His father and brother dead at his own hands, the brutal killer will stop at nothing to claim the magical sword that will give him the power to rule the lands of Piyr in blood.
An unlikely alliance is thrown together by this threat; a human boy, a half-blood troll, an elven prince, and an aging dwarven lord are but a few of the characters thrust into an epic struggle. Treachery, hatred, and black-hearted armies are against them all, bitterness and distrust weaken their bonds from within.
In the near future, Britain has given up its constitutional monarchy to become a republic. But though the crown is a museum piece and the family no longer bears its ancient titles, Stephen Windsor feels the stirrings of the lives of ancient Sacred Kings in his bones, which is not surprising as at key points in Britain’s history he has been reincarnated to perform the supreme kingly act.
And though the throne is empty and forgotten, the Land remembers, and calls once more for a crown upon a royal head... and royal blood upon the ground!
